About the UCPL
The Utah College Prep League is a self-contained individual-registration instructional and developmental summer baseball league specifically intended to prepare high-school-aged juniors and seniors for collegiate baseball. The league includes a combination of individual showcase(s), 12-16 games, 12-16 practices and concludes with a recruited tournament.
Players are admitted to the league by application. Complete the questionnaire at the "Register" tab.
Our Mission
Provide high-level baseball instruction and experience for local players planning to play collegiate baseball.
Provide players with the tools and information they need to find the right collegiate fit for the next step in their baseball journey.
Give families a high-quality baseball option close to home.
Competitive Instruction
Utah CPL gives players instruction and the opportunity to compete at a high level on a consistent basis close to home while building a recruiting profile.
Our Philosophy
Specifically, we aim to prepare and develop the individual player in a local setting. Simply put: more practices, more instruction, more games, closer to home, at a lower total price point.
Baseball instruction, facilities, personnel and resources have become so good in Utah that players and families do not need to unreasonably travel and spend to get top-notch development and desired outcomes.
In consultation with partners in the local baseball community, including travel organizations, parents, high school programs and college coaches, it is the collective belief that our local high-school-aged players are traveling too much with too little instruction and too little exposure in the summer and fall months.
Our Comprehensive Approach
Our comprehensive approach includes team and group instruction through practices led by high school, travel and college coaches. All aspects of the game are addressed over the course of the league.
Games are competitive-instructional against the other players/teams in the league. Games include videography and data which players are encouraged to use in their recruiting efforts.
